Beverly Jean Quint, 82, of Rotonda West, Fla., passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Englewood Community Hospital.

She was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Detroit, Mich., to Eugene and Carmen (nee Porter) Andrews.

Beverly moved to Florida in 1971, from W. Bloomfield, Mich. She was a graduate of Redford High School class of 1950, in Detroit, and attended Michigan State University. Beverly worked for Eckerd Drugs as a sales associate for 17 years and previously worked for General Motors in administration as a typist. She was the past president of the Rotonda West Women’s Golf League. Beverly scored a hole in one at the 11th hole at the Beaches in Rotonda West and was awarded Most Improved Player. In addition to golf, she enjoyed crafts, playing bridge, and was the “Jigsaw Puzzle Queen.” Her Christmas Village Collection was proudly displayed year round for family and friends to enjoy.

She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her children, Susan (Scott) Brown of Atlanta, Ga., Karen (Thomas) Kalvin of Naples, Fla., and Robert (Kathleen) Quint of Atlanta, Ga.; and six grandchildren, Justin Kalvin, Benjamin Kalvin, Samantha Brown, Dylan Kalvin, Morgan Brown, and Garrison Kalvin. Beverly is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, July 6, 2014.

Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Englewood Community Funeral Home, Inc. 3070 S. McCall Rd. A Graveside Service will follow at 1 p.m. at Sarasota National V.A. Cemetery.
