Bernard Eugene Haughn, 95, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Fla.
He was born June 1, 1919, in Grove City, Ohio, to Samuel and Mary (nee Birkhead) Haughn.
Bernard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the owner/operator of Haughn Electric in Grove City for 26 years. He retired in 1980 and moved to Florida. He attended Englewood United Methodist Church.
Bernard is survived by his three children, Steven Haughn of Wellington, Fla., Susan Kaiser of Lancaster, Ohio, and Barbara Weilbacher of Alpharetta, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Isaak Kaiser, Nathan and Nick Haughn, and Matthew and Michelle Weilbacher.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, with Military Honors to follow, at Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory, 3070 S. McCall Road, Englewood. You may share a memory with the family at www.englewoodfh.com.
