SARASOTA COUNTY — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that “Operation Southern Watch,” an effort that focused increased crime prevention in South County, resulted in 66 people arrested on 105 new charges between June 13-22.
According to a report, the arrest history of the suspects includes a combined 451 prior felony charges, and 590 prior misdemeanor charges. Ten of the people arrested have served prison time, and five are labeled as prolific offenders.
