LB boys earn regional trip

ENGLEWOOD — A big effort by senior Kevin Plummer sparked the Lemon Bay High School boys cross country team to a third-place finish in the District 2A-12 meet Saturday at L.A. Ainger Middle School.

Plummer finished fifth in 17 minutes, 21.98 seconds, just off his personal best of 27:20. The Manta Rays had 69 points behind first-place Immokalee with 29 and LaBelle with 50 for a berth in the regional meet.
