A couple of Lemon Bay passes just missed their mark as this one to Gardy Emmanuel did. A slight deflection caused this pass to fall incomplete. The Mantas knocked on the door but couldn't score in their season finale loss at Venice 13-0 on October 23.

Lemon Bay quarterback Victor Mellor stiff arms a Venice defensive man as he tries to turn the corner. It was a tough night on the ground for the Mantas as they picked up just 72 yards rushing in the 13-0 loss at Venice.

VENICE — Sometimes it’s not what you do, it’s what you don’t do.

“We didn’t capitalize when we had the opportunities. We struggled in the offensive line. We normally move the ball pretty good, but we really struggled and couldn’t get anything going. We were out of rhythm. We just didn’t play up to our potential,” said Lemon Bay High School junior varsity football coach Ron Latronica after the freshman squad’s season-ending loss, 13-0 at Venice Wednesday.
