ENGLEWOOD — The Lemon Bay High School junior varsity boys basketball team hosted the DeSoto County Bulldogs on Dec. 10. The teams had several things in common, including losses to Sebring, and each team beat Hardee for its first win of the season.

The Mantas pulled out in front 7-2 in the first six minutes of play as both teams had trouble finding the bottom of the net and with turnovers. Nine points were scored in the final two minutes as they were knotted at 9 points heading into the second period.
