ARCADIA — The DeSoto County and Lemon Bay High School junior varsity boys soccer teams battled to a 1-1 stalemate in a frigid windy night in Arcadia on Jan. 7. At the end of the game the temperature was 42 degrees and the wind chill made it seem much colder.

Jonathan Castro scored the Bulldog goal at the 13-minute mark on a slow roller which Mantas’ coach Bruce Fourman thought there should have been an offsides call. His discussion with the referee got him nowhere and the call stood.
