PUNTA GORDA — There was plenty of drama, excitement, and then disappointment, as the Lemon Bay JV girls basketball team lost at Charlotte, 38-35, on Jan. 21.
The Mantas had their chances to win the game but missed opportunities when put-backs and free throws cost them the opportunity to upset the 14-6 Tarpons. It was their performance from the free throw line that was the Achilles heel for the Mantas as they went just 5-21 from the line.
