PORT CHARLOTTE — Summer Jones’ bases clearing triple in the fifth inning broke open a tie game, and Lemon Bay High School took advantage of two Port Charlotte errors for an 8-4 victory Wednesday in a nondistrict contest.

The Pirates, coming off an emotional win over North Port on Tuesday, saw their two-game winning streak end. The Manta Rays belted 13 hits and got big production from their Nos. 8 and 9 hitters, Jones and Brandi Neumeyer, who combined to drive in six runs.
