PORT CHARLOTTE — The 14 U softball game at Port Charlotte on March 31 started out as a pitcher’s duel. Both teams were held scoreless through the first three innings until the Englewood Bombers put up a six spot in the fourth on their way to an 8-5 win.

The rally started with a walk to Carly Pike and, after a stolen base and a single by Sam Bright, the Bombers had the rally in full gear. A fielder’s choice plated Pike and the Bombers were flying high. They batted around the eight player order and scored six runs.
