NORTH PORT — One year later, North Port High School’s Marcial brothers are finally getting the opportunity to go to the FHSAA finals.

It was never a case that they weren’t good enough. Ibsen won a regional title in the high jump, clearing 6 feet, 4 inches and defeating teammate Luke Hogue and Alonso’s William Taylor-Haynes on missed jumps. Likewise, brother Evenson took third in the triple jump with a leap of 42-3 to qualify for the state meet.
