ENGLEWOOD — There are only three teams in the Englewood youth baseball Cal Ripken major division this season, but those teams are providing plenty of excitement.
Last week, Lemon Bay Funeral Home scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to an 8-4 victory over first-place Key Agency. Lemon Bay (6-5-1 on the season) got an excellent effort from pitcher Timothy Caldwell who went the four innings (the game was called because of the 8:15 p.m. time limit) and struck out three straight batters to end a potential Key Agency threat in the top of the fourth.
