Mack Belcher

Mack Belcher, 74, of West Palm Beach, Fla., passed away at his home on Nov. 1, 2013.

He was born in Fort Meade, Fla., to Lehman and Addie Belcher, coming to West Palm in 1972.

Mack proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1959 on the USS Forrestal.

He retired from the CSX Railroad after a career that spanned 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior and Clinard Belcher.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend of 42 years, Beverly Belcher; son, Luis Paez, Jr.; daughters, Tonya Belcher and Shawna Belcher; grandson, Cameron Paez; brothers; Adolph Belcher, Joe Belcher, Rev. Randall Belcher and Keith Belcher; sisters, Ruth Vaughn and Carol Douglas.

A memorial gathering is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the First Church of God, 215 S. Perry Ave., Fort Meade.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Gale M. Belcher Fund for the Benefit of his disabled daughter Shawna Belcher at Wells Fargo, NA, 802 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33405.

Quattlebaum Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
