Shirley Ann Burney Lambert went to be with the Lord on the 17th of March, 2014, due to natural causes.

Shirley was born on the 6th of May, 1933, in a log cabin on 91 Mine Creek Road. The cabin was next to Peas Creek.

She grew up in Everglades City where she met her first husband, Albert Myral Ethington.

They had six children, Daniel Myral Ethington (Tallahassee), Donald Albert Ethington (Enterprise, Ala.), Dennis Edward Ethington (Bartow), Derrell James Ethington (Crawfordsville, Ind.), Mary Denise Ethington (Bartow), Shirlena Lynn Harrison (Bartow). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great, great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Johnnie Lewis Lambert, her second husband.

She was always giving all of herself and all she had. One of her favorite sayings was “kill them with kindness.” She was greatly loved and will be missed always.

A private memorial service is to be held at graveside.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in her honor.
