FHP looking for defective cars

The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting driver license and vehicle inspection checkpoints this month.

Troopers will concentrate efforts on vehicles being operated with bad brakes, worn tires and defective lighting equipment.

In Polk County troopers will be stationed at State Roads 600 and 700, County Roads 35A, 540, 542, 546 557, 17A, 659, 655, 54, 542A, 580 and Pine Chase Avenue, Wabash Avenue, and Thompson Nursery Road, FHP reports.
