Fort Meade Head Coach Jemalle Cornelius watches a passing drill Monday, as his club gets ready for its annual spring Black and Gold scrimmage at Frank S. Battle Field Friday night. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. A fundraising barbecue dinner will also be served, starting at 4 p.m.

Fans may think it's all braun when it comes to being a good football player, but the Miners, like other teams, spend time drilling on proper footwork as well.

Offensive and defensive lineman spend lots of time with the tackling sled.

Center Nathan Music snaps the ball to quarterback Jesse Henson as the two work on getting the proper feel of a shotgun formation.

Defensive Coordinator Gilbert Castillo takes time out to make a coaching point.

Running back and line backer Ryan Fulse makes sure to stay hydrated. Water breaks are frequent since afternoon temperatures have been near 90 degrees.
