I read the article in Saturday’s Democrat entitled “Pitch for the Arts.”

Brian Hinton stated there are two camps of people in Bartow who favor Arts in Public Places, but each wants a different focus on what to do. One being sculptures and the other being murals.

Mr. Hinton, there is another group of “old timers” like me who were born and raised in Bartow and we don’t want either.

We are the City of Oaks and Azaleas, not sculptures, murals, graffiti and tattoo designs.

Jane Waters Thomas has a lot of ideas to bring people to Bartow. This is not one of them, so please leave these ideas in Eloise.
