He’s brought laughter to The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Comedy Central; has a new show coming in the fall of 2018; and on Thursday afternoon, comedian Michael Jr. made a stop in Sebring at the Circle Theatre. In Florida for just a few days on his “More Than Funny Tour,” Michael Jr. shared his love for comedy and encouraged attendees to use their life experiences to “be the punchline” and bless those around them.
Champion for Children Foundation Administrative Assistant Brittney Fann thought the performance was “heartfelt and funny at the same time. It was beautiful to see Michael Jr. and his team’s generosity and dedication to their mission of giving back.”
The Circle Theatre was filled with community members of all ages, wonderfully depicting the desire of the Champion for Children Foundation to provide positive, family-friendly entertainment, bringing people together downtown. The event was “sold out,” although tickets were free, courtesy of the Champion for Children Foundation and premier event sponsor Heartland Living Magazine.
The Champion for Children Foundation had connected with Michael Jr.’s team last year, and was thrilled to have him come encourage the community. “Good humor and healthy laughter truly are the best medicine. We are extremely grateful Michael Jr. and his team came to share their passion and talent, and also had the opportunity to experience Highlands County,” said Carissa Marine, Champion for Children Foundation CEO.
