Driving classes set at SFSC

South Florida State College’s Community Education Department will offer a series of driver training and driver improvement classes in November. The courses will be offered at the SFSC campuses in Highlands, DeSoto and Hardee counties.

Advanced Driver Improvement class

A 12-hour Advanced Driver Improvement Course for drivers who have a suspended license or have too many points on their license will be Nov. 12-14 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the SFSC Highlands Campus at 600 W College Drive, Avon Park. The course fee is $145.

Alcohol Drug Accident Prevention Training set

Alcohol Drug Accident Prevention Training courses for first-time driver’s license applicants will be Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the SFSC Hardee Campus, 2968 U.S. 17 N., Bowling Green. The cost is $42.

Safe Driving Accident Prevention Program

A series of Safe Driving Accident Prevention Program courses for drivers who have received a traffic citation, were court ordered to attend, or were involved in a traffic accident and issued a ticket will be today (Wednesday) from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the SFSC DeSoto Campus, 2252 N.E. Turner Ave., Arcadia; Saturday, Nov. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the SFSC Highlands Campus, 600 W. College Drive, Avon Park; and Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the SFSC Hardee Campus, 2968 U.S. 17 N. Bowling Green. The cost is $45.
