St. Pete teen dies after being hit by 2 cars

ST. PETERSBURG BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A St. Petersburg teen is dead after authorities say he was struck by two vehicles and killed.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reports 17-year-old Patrick McClean was hit Saturday at about 12:45 a.m. in St. Petersburg Beach.

According to deputies, McClean was hit by one vehicle and then struck by a second.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say alcohol may be a factor in the crash. The drivers of both vehicles showed signs of impairment.

The investigation is ongoing.
