The Placid Lakes Social Circle held their meeting last Thursday at the Placid Lakes Country Club. The group voted on a day trip to the Palm Theatre in Ft. Myers. Joyce Briski and Barbara Bright will have more details at the Sept. 4 meeting.

Speaking of new members, the “Circle” or “Dalton Gang” welcome new members anytime from anywhere. Dues are only $5 per year, and the group has a busy calendar.
Flu shots will be given by Walgreen’s at the Placid Lakes Town Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Medicare welcome, no doctor’s appointment necessary. Call Bonnie at 863-465-4888 with questions.
The Sausage Festival will be Oct. 18, a Wednesday, starting at 1 p.m. at Placid Lakes Town Hall. There will be five kinds of sausage, fried peppers and onions, baked beans, cole slaw, potato chips, olives, pickles, soft drinks and dessert. DJ Ben will provide lots of music. Tickets will be available from members, and also available at the Placid Lakes Town Hall on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until l p.m.
The Christmas Light Cruise day trip will be Monday, Dec. 8 and includes the bus to Punta Gorda’s Fishermen’s Village, dinner at the Village Fish Market Restaurant, and a cruise through the Punta Gorda Isles. All for $50 per person. Call Susie at 863-699-0886 to sign up or for more information.
