This is Homecoming Week at Lake Placid High School. The excitement level doesn’t stop with students — it’s contagious and “Dragon spirit” is spreading across town.
LPHS Principal Toni Stivender said the school embraces the town’s interest in Homecoming and invites downtown businesses to “get in the spirit” for Friday morning’s Homecoming parade that will traverse Interlake Boulevard.
School colors of green and white can be displayed. Business owners, employees and clients can take a few minutes to cheer the football team, cheerleaders, band, Homecoming King and Queen candidates; and show appreciation for the young creative minds that create floats.
The parade will bring a little traffic inconvenience, but it won’t last long. Be patient and take time to enjoy the parade and renew your “Dragon spirit.”
