John L. Moore

John L. Moore, 77, of Lilburn, Ga., passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Corrigan Moore in November 1987.

He is survived by daughter Janie Moore Welden and her husband David; son Brad A. Moore; granddaughter Erin Ashley Moore-Jensen; two great-grandchildren, Caroline Moore and Aristotle Jensen, both of Lilburn, Ga.; sister Markey Weaver of Louisville, Ky; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Mr. Moore was born in Wabash, Ind., on Oct. 4, 1935, to Edith Story Moore and Arthur J. Moore. He graduated from Wabash High School and attended Ball State University. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired as a regional sales associate from Spartech Corp. (now PolyOne Corp.) after many years of service.

Mr. Moore was a member at St. John Neumann Catholic Church and was an avid golfer. He also played tennis at Hannary Estates at Killian Hill Rd. and enjoyed handyman projects,

A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Moore was Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Deacon Greg Ollick officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mr. Moore’s name to Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, Lilburn, Ga.
