Robert E. Lavely

Robert E. Lavely, 80, of Sebring and formerly a 16-year resident of Lake Placid, Fla., passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, in the companionship of his family.

Born Jan. 6, 1933, to Emily and George Lavely of Knox County, Ind., Mr. Lavely was a salesman in the food distribution industry in Indiana before retirement. He came to Lake Placid from Naples and resided in Sebring for the past seven years. He was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Sebring and enjoyed playing golf.

Mr. Lavely is survived by his wife Esther; son Gary; daughter Debbie Piggott; brother George; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Robert G. Lavely, in 2001.

A Christian Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Father Peter Sheehan will celebrate.

Memorial arrangements are under the devotion of Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home, Lake Placid.
