Doris Ann Brazie

Doris Ann Brazie of South Boardman, Mich. and formerly of Lake Placid, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Born May 14, 1934, in Newberry, Mich., she was the daughter of Leo and Delia Boucher. She later married Philip Brazie and celebrated 62 years of marriage. The couple moved to Lake Placid in 1995 after Mrs. Brazie retired as manager of a Sears store. While in Lake Placid she had a brief career with Bank of America.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Katherine; sister Carolyn Livingston; and two brothers, Jerry and Francis (Bud) Boucher. Mrs. Brazie is survived by her husband; six of her seven children, Philip J. Brazie (Carolyn), Deborah Bricker, Patricia Patton (Henry), David Brazie (Deirdre), Dennis Brazie, and Theresa Donigan; 24 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at St. Mary’s of The Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska, Mich.
