Robert Elwood Nall

Robert Elwood Nall, 85, of Lake Placid, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Lake Placid Health Care Center.

Born Oct. 20, 1928, in Stockton, Kan., to Evelyn and Max Nall, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a photographer. After being discharged, Mr. Nall became a store manager with a supermarket chain, and later operated his own business selling beverages. He moved to the area 30 years ago from Ohio where he was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, holding season tickets for many years. Mr. Nall enjoyed football, woodworking, gardening, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Bodies, both in Ohio, and First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid.

Mr. Nall is survived by his wife of 64 1⁄2 years, June; children Robert, Lawrence, Terence, Nancy, Christian, and Kaitlyn; many grand- and great-grandchildren.

A private service for the family was held. Cremation arrangements entrusted with Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid.
