Rev. Joseph William Javorsky

The Rev. Joseph William Javorsky, 39, of Lake Placid, died Monday, April 1, 2014.

Born in Canton, Ohio, on June 30, 1974, he was the son of Carol and Edward Javorsky. After graduating from high school he enrolled at Grove City College in Pennsylvania, where he earned an undergraduate degree. He then attained a Master of Divinity degree at Lutheran Southern Seminary, in Columbia, S.C. He moved to Sheyenne, N.D., where he did his internship. An active minister in Nebraska for the past 10 years, Rev. Javorsky came to Lake Placid three years ago.

Rev. Javorsky is survived by his mother, Carol; sons Simon and Noah, both of Nebraska; siblings Renee Carle (Todd), and Cynthia Thompson (Terry). He was predeceased by his father, Edward, in 2001, and brother, Marc, in 1979.

Rev. Javorsky has been transported to Ohio where services and burial will be April 12. Arrangements were under the devotion of Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home, Lake Placid.
