Donald Glen Reynolds

Donald Glen Reynolds, 83, of Lake Placid, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring.

Born Jan. 18, 1931, in Spencer, Ohio, to Della and Jay Reynolds, he served in the U.S. Army. A retired barber, Mr. Reynolds was a winter resident for 22 years and a permanent resident of Lake Placid for the past eight years, moving from Ohio. Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Medina Moose Lodge, VFW, and a life member of Eagles. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Larry. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jean; daughters Kristine, Kimberly and Renee; stepdaughter Judy; sons Donald and Gary; stepsons, Darrell, Jeff and Don; eight grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Betty; and brother, Lester.

Inurnment services with Military Honors by the U.S. Army will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota. Memorial services to celebrate Mr. Reynolds’ life will be held later this summer in Medina, Ohio, and this fall in Lake Placid.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid.
