Jane C. Hall, 89, of Sebring and formerly of Lake Placid, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, surrounded by her family at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring.

Born July 19, 1924 in Albany, N.Y., to William F. and Olive May Calkins, she was a 1941 graduate of North Creek High School and 1945 grad of Russell Sage College in Troy, N.Y. She married Donald C. Hall on Dec. 14, 1946 in the North Creek Methodist Parsonage. Mrs. Hall moved to Lake Placid in 1988 and was a member of the First Assembly of God Lake Placid.

Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her children, Marcia Townsend, William C. Hall and John T. Hall; one granddaughter, Lauren Jane McConkey; a sister, Marcia Minder; and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Hall’s life will be at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at First Assembly of God at 327 Plumosa Street, Lake Placid, with Rev. Johnny Bryant officiating. Mrs. Hall will be laid to rest next to her husband at a later date in New York.

The family suggests donations in Mrs. Hall’s memory to the Good Shepherd Hospice 1110 Hammock Road Sebring, FL 33870. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid.
