Happiness Farms blanks Helena Chemical, 10-0
Happiness Farms shut out Helena Chemical, 10-0 Monday evening, Feb. 17. The game ended in the fifth inning when Manny Berrones, Caleb Andrews and Tristan Jacobs hit three consecutive home runs to highlight a four-run rally. The caladium growers struck for four in the first with Berrones hitting a homer with Dylan Eddington and Owen Phypers on base. Andrews also scored in the first. Phypers and Berrones came home on a hit by Jacobs in the third.
Happiness Farms 9, Highlands Bank 4
Happiness Farms decisioned Highlands Independent Bank, 9-4 Tuesday, Feb. 18. Hits by Owen Phypers, Manny Berrones, Caleb Andrews and Tristan Jacobs produced four runs for the caladium growers in the first. The happy farmers added five more in the third with the same hitters as well as Dylan Eddington and Luis Valdes.
The bankers scored three in the bottom of the initial frame as Landon Turner, Dawson Duncan, Eddie Jackson and Bo Ward had base hits. Their final run came in the fourth inning as Duncan tripled to right field and scored on a grounder by Wyatt Jackson.
Vazquez Citrus tops Highlands Bank, 6-3
A second-inning home run by Ezkiel Daley with Kyle Lowder on base produced two runs for Vazquez Citrus and Hauling as the orange men defeated Highlands Independent Bank, 6-3, Friday, Feb. 21. The citrus men had previously rallied for three in the second as Ricardo Barajas, Alexander Rivera, Holden Hall and Kegan Youmans hit singles. Their final tally came in the fourth as Barajas doubled and came home on a hit by Rivera.
The bankers scored two in the fourth on hits by Landon Turner and Wyatt Jackson, both of whom scored. James Zarella homered for the money men in the fifth.
Vazquez wins over Helena Chemical, 11-1
Ezkiel Daley blasted three home runs to lead his Vazquez Citrus and Hauling team to an 11-1 victory over Helena Chemical Saturday, Feb. 22. Walker Gaskins and Kyle Lowder each went three-for-three for the winners with a triple, double and a single. Holden Hall contributed a double, and singles came from Kegan Youmans and Alexander Rivera. The citrus men scored three in the first, two in each of the second and third innings, a solo run in the fourth and three more in the fifth.
Helena Chemical tallied in the fourth as Caleb Nettles doubled and came home on a hit to left field by Robert Nettles.
Happiness Farms edges Highlands Independent
Rallying for three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on hits by Caleb Andrews and Tristan Jacobs, Happiness Farms edged Highlands Independent Bank, 6-5, Saturday, Feb. 22. The win was the third of the week for the happy farmers. The winners had two in the second and another in the third.
Highlands Independent Bank scored one in the top of the first as Landon Turner raced home on a single by Dawson Duncan. Scoreless until the fourth, the bankers rallied for four in the top of that inning on singles by James Zarrella, Duncan, Wyatt Jackson, Bo Ward and Brandon Pratts.
