Kevin Kieft was introduced to the Lake Wales community Thursday night.

The new Lake Wales Chamber and EDC executive director was greeted with enthusiasm at the reception held in his honor at The Hampton Inn & Suites on U.S. 27.

“I see so much potential in Lake Wales,” said Kevin Kieft, new executive director of the Lake Wales Chamber and EDC during his welcome reception. “I think the EDC and Ken Fields, city manager, and the group he has over there, we are going to do big things here. Please help me and we will do our best to get things going.”

Kieft noted that his tour of the community during his time in Lake Wales for his original interview suggested a beautiful community “that has a lot going for it. I have had a warm welcome and everyone is so nice.”

Angela Pulido, chamber president, thanked the community for attending the reception and urged the group to enjoy the refreshments and to greet Kieft.

Those attending the event included some Lake Wales City Council members, city manager, chamber association and nonprofit members and chamber business members.
