Florida SBDC has Polk Quick Start Business Series

The Florida SBDC at University of South Florida has a Polk Quick Start Business Series that begins May 20 at the Polk State College Clear Springs Advanced Technology Center in Bartow.

The Series, specifically designed for Polk County entrepreneurs, will take place over the course of two weeks. The series will take business owners through determining feasibility and legal structures, developing financial projections, building a winning business plan and attracting the right customers. Attendees will learn from Florida SBDC Network certified business consultants, Javier Marin and Carl Hadden.

Schedule is:

• 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, Starting Your Business. Legal Entity Selection, Licensing and Taxes

• 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, Financing Your Business. Bank Loans, SBA Loans, and Other Sources of Funding

• 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, Marketing Your Business. Attracting Customers and Generating Sales

• 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, May 29, Building the Ultimate Business Plan. Getting Your Start-up Investor or Bank Ready

Cost of the Quick Start Business Series is $140 and it includes the Financing Your Business seminar, and the Ultimate Business Planner software.
