Clarence Eugene Rhudy, 86 of Lake Wales passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at The Groves Center.

He was born Nov. 3, 1926 in Fries, Va. to the late Onie and Phoebe Rhudy. He was a retired forklift driver for St. Joe Paper Company, a member of the Golfview Park Church of God and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, flower gardening and vegetable gardening. He was a good Christian family man that was always willing to help those in need.

Clarence was preceded in death four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Fannie Rhudy; son, Earl Rhudy Goodwin of Winter Haven; two sisters, Ruby Nelson of Lake Wales and Margaret Ward of Lake Wales; two grandchildren, Christina Goodwin and Mitchell Goodwin; and one great-grandson, Nicolas Goodwin.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at the Golfview Park Church of God with Rev. Denny Cothern officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
