Robert L. “Bob” Patton of Frostproof, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at his residence.
He was born June 14, 1938, in Logansport, Ind., to Robert Earl and Vera Catherine (Bard) Patton and he came here from Merritt Island in 2000.
He was retired from the Cape Canaveral Space Center. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frostproof.
He was previously active in the Elks Lodge in Cocoa Beach. He enjoyed working in the yard and woodworking; and he loved Nascar and auto racing.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nancy F. Patton; daughter, Teresa Colson of Merritt Island; son, Bobby Patton and wife, Shelley of Maitland; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with the Rev. Darrol Hood officiating.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations may be made to Frostproof First Baptist Church youth group or their favorite charity.
