Mrs. Marie Ann Loveland, 90, of Lake Wales, Fla., died on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1923, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to Joseph and Amelia George, and moved to Lake Wales in 1977 from Miami, Fla. She worked for the U.S. Government in personnel records, for the City of Miami as a secretary in the engineering department, for Saint Brendan’s Catholic School, and retired as a nurses’ aide in hospitals and assisting the homebound. She was a member of the Lake Wales Keenagers. She was a Eucharistic minister and member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit.

Marie is survived by her children Elizabeth Rodriguez and husband Joe of Winter Garden, Fla., and William R. Loveland and wife Denise of Alpharetta, Ga., and three grandchildren, Kristina Rodriguez, Greg Rodriguez, and Duane “Reid” Loveland.

She was preceded in death by her husband Max in 1995, her parents, and brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, from 10 a.m. until her funeral service begins at noon at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Glenn Charest officiating. Inurnment will be made at Lake Wales Cemetery.

Memorials of remembrance may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823. Arrangements by Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Wales.
