An old friend will be up to a couple of new things when the Charlotte County Concert Band opens its six-concert 2017-18 season with a performance on Sunday, Nov. 5 called “We the People.”

The band will be directed by its new conductor, Bob Miller, who is starting his second full season. Miller is well-known in the area, directing concert musicians in North Port and Venice. But he is still putting his stamp on the Charlotte County Concert Band.
