Two talented string players will join Bion Cantorum at their concert on Friday, Nov. 17.

Cellist Ann Alton and violinist R. Paul Urbanik will perform with the vocal ensemble in “O Notte,” a lyrical setting of words of Michelangelo by composer Z. Randall Stroope, and other pieces. Ms. Alton has undergraduate and master of music degrees from the Julliard School, a doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music, has taught cello, and performed as a soloist throughout the US, Europe and Asia. Currently she is principal cellist with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. She and her husband Bob Delfausse lead the Venice Community Orchestra. Paul has degrees from Northwestern University and the American Conservatory, has taught at several music schools and maintains an active chamber music agenda here and in Chicago. He also plays with the PMK Piano Trio.
