Santa, his elves and a sleigh full of treats will arrive just in time to celebrate “Evening with Santa” taking place at Englewood's Dearborn Street Plaza (also known as Pioneer Park) on Friday, Dec. 15, in Englewood.

The Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary, who will be sponsoring the event along with the Englewood Community Redevelopment Agency, will be featuring a kid’s bike raffle, musical entertainment, a holiday themed movie and, of course, a visit from Santa himself who will greet youngsters from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Santa, enthroned on his magical sleigh, also welcomes photo ops with children so families are invited to bring along cameras or take cell phone photos throughout the evening. Although some chairs are provided, attendees may want to bring additional folding seats if needed.
