On Monday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in the William H. Wakeman, III Cultural Center Theater, the Charlotte County Jazz Society continues their 2017-2018 season as Greg Abate “The Prince of Be-Bop” is back with his swinging alto. The Charlotte County Jazz Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting jazz music. Revenue from their events support their scholarship program which assists local high school students pay for their advanced education in music. Upcoming concerts in this series are on the second Monday of each month through April 2018.

Members of the Charlotte County Jazz Society receive free admission to all concerts. To become a member, visit www.pbttdev.com/cc/jazz. Nonmembers are also welcome at all events. The ticket price is $20 per person and seating is on a first come, first seated basis. Tickets may be purchased online at www.theculturalcenter.com or at The Cultural Center box office, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte, one hour before any show, or by calling 941-625-4175.
