Saturday, Nov. 16 from 7:30-11:30 a.m., the Men’s Fellowship group kicks off the 41st season for its ever-popular “granddaddy of all” pancake brunches in the Englewood United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 700 E. Dearborn. The brunches will run every other week through April 5.

According to the outgoing brunch chairman, Peter Patrick, “We call our brunch the “granddaddy” because it was a first that others here and even up north have picked up on. Men as well as women are encouraged to be brunch volunteer workers for a fun, rewarding experience. Last year we served 26,000 all-you-can-eat pancakes that resulted in a $27,862 total awarded to 26 local students for college attendance.”
