Born in 1943 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Bryan Lee had lost his eyesight and was considered to be legally blind by the age of eight.
But you don't need to be able to see to develop an appreciation for music. Growing up, Lee, who will be appearing with his band tomorrow in Englewood, listened to WLAC in Nashville and became enamored with the sound of the blues he heard on the radio. By the time he was 15 in the late fifties, Lee was playing guitar in a variety of rock and blues-rock bands, and in his late teens he befriended legendary guitar slinger Luther Allison.
