Those who love mystery, romance and a huge dose of comedy will be thrilled with "A Christmas Cactus" at the Lemon Bay Playhouse. It's a "Dickens" of a play, and no doubt everyone will get the message — that this play is as off-beat as it gets.

For one thing, "A Christmas Cactus" by Eliot Byerrum is really by Ellen Byerrum, an attractive redhead, not unlike her main character, Cactus O'Riley. Why she chose to write using a man's name remains a mystery, but it really doesn't matter. The play, although not well-known, will keep audiences on their toes, as almost every line contains a double entendre.
