Englewood area residents and families from surrounding communities are looking forward to attending a seventh annual Rotonda West Christmas Parade this Saturday.

Over 60 floats and marching units are expected to participate, and thousands of spectators will be lining the parade route. The theme this year is "Christmas in Rotonda," and the Rotonda West Association's Community Relations committee invites parade attendees to help by donating nonperishable food items. Golf carts donated by Thoroughbred Golf Carts will travel the parade route to pick up donations. Last year attendees donated nearly 2,000 pounds of canned goods, toys and more than $600 in cash and checks. It's important to note that food and funds go directly to beneficiary Englewood Helping Hand. Giffels and Webster, an engineering firm headed by company chairman Jonathon Cole, has loaned the parade committee tractors and a flatbed trailer for transporting donations to the Helping Hand organization.
