Art walks, arts in the park, gallery walks — as events they are an increasingly universal part of Americana. They’re held in big cities and small towns, in parks and along urban streets, and on waterfronts and in industrial districts and are part of larger efforts to resuscitate downtown districts.

Art walks attract patrons to venues where painters, sculptors and other artisans share their passions and sell their work. Those patrons also breathe new life and bring extra revenue into the restaurants, bars and other businesses at the core of downtown districts.
