Wood carvers to unite for a special Wood Carving Show this Sunday

Shortly after the morning coffee is brewed, the jokes start to pile up like the wood curls on the floor.

The carvers lay out their chisels and gouges on the tables. Some pull out slightly less common tools, like an old toothbrush or a makeup brush, to sweep away the fine shavings. The Charlotte County Wood Carvers gather every Tuesday at the Punta Gorda Boat House to carve and to encourage one another as their projects take shape.
