Amazing gator bread, Italian specialties at Angelo's

Co-owner, Andrea Vasil, sells loaves of alligator, frog, and turtle bread at Angelo's Pizza in Englewood.

Angelo's Pizza, 2611 Placida Road in Englewood, welcomes large groups with reservations of eight or more.

Dan and Mary Cady of Grand Blanc, Michigan enjoyed lunch fro the first time at Angelo's in Englewood.

Angelo's Pizza in Englewood has been a popular landmark since 1972.

That's when Marty Redovan, owner of 20 pizza stores in Ohio, sold out and moved to Florida. Redovan bought Chidori, a Japanese restaurant, renamed it Angelo's, and began serving a varied menu that included "Alligator Bread" shaped like an alligator, of course.
