Although full- and part-time Florida residents or those visiting Southwest Florida beaches along the coast often boast about the West Coast's unhurried lifestyle and the friendly folks they've met along the way, songwriter and professional musician, Michael Hirst, prefers to sing about them.
In "Lost in a Dream" Hirst lists everything he loves about what he calls "The Other West Coast." He begins a musical journey in Panama City and works his way down to the Everglades. Imagine "white sugar sand" and a "pace that's safe" sung in the style of James Taylor, Jim Croce, or Jackson Brown.
