Flamenco guitarist David (pronounced DaVeed) Munoz, along with multitalented vocalist, percussionist, violinist, and flutist, Elise Amaral, began performing as “Latin Rendezvous” in 2006. They first met in 2002, when Amaral was dancing with a Sarasota Flamenco Dance troupe and Munoz was playing guitar.

For several years the troupe performed locally and at the annual Latin Festival held at the Players’ Theater in Sarasota. After the dance troupe disbanded, Amaral and Munoz teamed up with a local Latin-inspired eclectic World Music group, Los Rumberos.
