In January, when Romy and Leo Hofmann took over as proprietors of Food is Love, one of Englewood's most popular breakfast and lunch spots, they very wisely continued to serve most of the eatery's original menu items and made only subtle changes to the eatery's inviting decor.
Eventually, however, they replaced the previous owner's artwork with original paintings and framed landscapes of familiar scenes that reminded them of their native Austria. They were unsure about offering dishes like schnitzel and Hungarian beef goulasch specials, but they gave it a try.
