Charlotte Idol finale is a must-see

An overwhelming operatic performance won then-16-year-old Marcella Brown the title of “Charlotte Idol” and $1,000, at last April’s inaugural competition at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center in Punta Gorda. Auditions for this year’s event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte.

If you enjoy watching “American Idol,” you will not want to miss the Charlotte Idol competition on Aug. 22.

The finale will feature local competitors singing their hearts out at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center for a night to remember.
